Work With Dawn

What is Spiritual Coaching?

First, I think it is important to understand what coaching is. A life coach helps you move from where you are to where you want to be in life. Whether I am working with a client on business or personal goals, I am constantly supporting a mindful, balanced approach. As a person who was way out of balance in my previous life chapter, I am hyper aware of the importance when coaching and supporting the journey of others.

Where all forms of life coaching (business, mindset, vocation, relationship, etc.) are about asking powerful questions and supporting your journey from point A to B on a conscious level, spiritual coaching uses a blend of techniques – powerful questions as well as sharing guidance, wisdom, and often forms of energy healing and intuitive therapies – to go beneath the identity of mind and body or self, and explore the who you really are, the Self.

We are often trying to change behaviors and patterns without understanding that these are symptoms of something deeper at the subconscious level. However, when we learn and understand who and what we really are we are able to go to the source of a pattern to create lasting change.

Most of our choices and habits are caused by pre-programmed beliefs from childhood. Think of a laptop, when you get one it already has operating systems installed, and often a ton of junk you don’t want that slows down the systems from running optimally. With spiritual coaching, we explore the operating system, cleaning out old programs that don’t align with who we want to be and hold us back from creating the lives we truly desire and are capable of.

Spiritual Coaching, for me, is about empowerment. When we understand our Self, we can retract our power from the past and patterns, bringing our Self into present time to create at a whole new level by being fully empowered once again.

Our life force is constantly leaking out through old wounds and traumas, as well as through unhealthy desires of our senses. When we let go of the past we increase the speed in which we can create. When we stop allowing ourselves to be pushed and pulled by the senses and the  egos likes and dislikes, we are able to create in present time.

Spiritual Coaching supports us to let go of illusions created by thoughts, emotions, intellect, ego, opinions, beliefs, and experiences so that we can truly understand what we are, pure potential.

Embracing Holistic Coaching: Your Path to Wholeness

Today, I want to dive into a topic that has the power to transform lives and bring about profound personal growth: holistic coaching.

Picture this: You’re sitting at a crossroads in your life, feeling a bit stuck and unsure of where to turn. You might be grappling with career decisions, struggling to maintain a healthy work-life balance, or simply seeking a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment. Traditional coaching has its merits, but what if I told you there’s a coaching approach that considers the entirety of who you are, not just isolated aspects of your life?

Holistic coaching has the power to be  a game-changer in the world of personal development and well-being.

What Is Holistic Coaching?

Holistic coaching is like that wise friend who understands that you’re not just your job, your relationships, or your physical health. It acknowledges that you are a beautifully complex being, woven together with physical, mental, emotional, and even spiritual threads. These threads are not separate; they’re interconnected, and they all play a role in shaping your overall quality of life.

At its core, holistic coaching embraces the idea that you deserve to lead a balanced, harmonious life. It encourages you to explore how different aspects of your life influence each other and how making changes in one area can ripple through your entire existence.

The Holistic Coaching Toolbox

Now, you might be wondering, “How does holistic coaching work, and what tools does a holistic coach use?” Great question! Holistic coaches bring a diverse set of tools and techniques to the table, drawn from psychology, nutrition, exercise science, mindfulness practices, and even spirituality.

Here are some of the key elements that you might encounter in a holistic coaching journey:

Wholeness: A holistic coach sees you as a whole person, not just a collection of roles or responsibilities. They help you explore how your various life dimensions intersect and impact each other.

  1. Balance: Striking a balance is often the goal. Whether it’s achieving work-life equilibrium or finding harmony in your relationships, holistic coaching guides you toward balance.
  2. Mindfulness: Holistic coaches often introduce mindfulness practices, like meditation and self-reflection, to help you become more aware of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Afterall, awareness is the first step toward change.
  3. Personalization: What works for one person may not work for another. Holistic coaching tailors its approach to your unique needs, values, and goals.
  4. Long-Term Growth: Instead of quick fixes, holistic coaching aims for lasting personal growth and transformation. It’s about creating a fulfilling, sustainable life.
  5. Holistic Tools: Coaches might integrate tools and techniques from different disciplines, creating a personalized toolkit to address your specific needs. For me, I pull not only from a multitude of coaching discipline toolboxes but from energy medicine and mindfulness.
  6. Health and Wellness: Physical well-being is seen as an integral part of overall happiness and success. Holistic coaching often includes a strong focus on health and wellness.

Why Holistic Coaching Matters?

Holistic coaching is not just about achieving short-term goals or solving immediate problems. It’s about nurturing your growth as a whole and complete person. It’s about helping you step into your authentic self and creating a life that truly resonates with your values and aspirations.

Holistic coaching is an approach to personal or professional coaching that considers the whole person and their various aspects of life when working to achieve goals and improve well-being. It recognizes that individuals are complex beings with interconnected physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions, and that all of these aspects play a role in shaping a person’s overall quality of life.

Key principles and elements of holistic coaching may include:

  • Wholeness: Holistic coaches view individuals as complete and interconnected beings. They don’t focus solely on one area of life (e.g., career or health) but consider how various aspects of life interact and influence each other.
  • Balance: The goal of holistic coaching is often to help clients achieve balance and harmony in their lives. This can involve addressing imbalances in areas like work-life balance, relationships, health, and personal development.
  • Multiple dimensions: Holistic coaching encompasses physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. Coaches may help clients set goals and make changes in each of these areas to promote overall well-being.
  • Mindfulness: Mindfulness practices, such as meditation and self-reflection, are often integrated into holistic coaching to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
  • Personalization: Holistic coaches recognize that what works for one person may not work for another. They tailor their coaching approach to the unique needs, values, and goals of each individual client.
  • Long-term growth: Holistic coaching often focuses on long-term personal growth and transformation rather than just addressing short-term issues or challenges.
  • Holistic tools and techniques: Coaches may use a variety of tools and techniques from different disciplines, including psychology, nutrition, exercise science, spirituality, and more, to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Health and wellness: Holistic coaching frequently includes a strong emphasis on health and wellness, as physical well-being is seen as an integral part of overall happiness and success.

Holistic coaching info

Holistic coaching can be applied in various contexts, including life coaching, executive coaching, health and wellness coaching, and more. The specific approach and techniques used by holistic coaches can vary widely based on the coach’s training, philosophy, and the needs of the client. The overarching goal is to help individuals lead more fulfilling and balanced lives by addressing their unique needs and circumstances from a holistic perspective.

Energy medicine is a holistic approach to healing that recognizes the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit, and it involves working with the body’s energy systems to promote health and well-being. Energy medicine is rooted in the belief that there is a vital life force energy that flows through all living beings, and disruptions or imbalances in this energy can lead to physical, emotional, or spiritual issues.

When practiced by a holistic coach, energy medicine can support an individual’s healing journey in the following ways:

Balancing Energy: Holistic coaches trained in energy medicine can identify areas of energy imbalance within a client’s body. Techniques such as Reiki, acupuncture, or energy healing can be used to restore balance and vitality to these energy systems.

Stress Reduction: Energy medicine practices often include relaxation techniques, meditation, mindfulness, and breathwork. These methods can help clients manage stress, which is a common factor in many health problems.

Emotional Healing: Energy medicine can assist in the release of emotional blockages and traumas stored in the energy field. A holistic coach can guide clients through processes to help them process and release these emotions, promoting emotional healing.

Self-Empowerment: Holistic coaches empower clients to take an active role in their healing journey. They teach self-care practices and provide tools for clients to maintain their well-being on a daily basis.

Spiritual Connection: For individuals interested in spirituality, energy medicine can deepen their connection to themselves and the universe. Holistic coaches can guide clients in exploring their spiritual path and finding meaning and purpose in their lives.

Holistic Lifestyle: Holistic coaches often provide guidance on nutrition, exercise, and other lifestyle factors that contribute to overall health and well-being. Energy medicine complements this by addressing the energetic aspects of health.

Education: Holistic coaches are typically well-informed about various holistic healing modalities. They can educate their clients about these modalities, helping them make informed choices about their health.

When energy medicine is integrated into the practice of a holistic coach, it offers a comprehensive approach to healing that encompasses the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of an individual’s well-being. It empowers clients to become active participants in their healing journey and fosters a sense of balance, connection, and vitality in their lives.
